Our Right To Release God's Power

All scripture use is from the Amplified Bible Version

Galatians 4:4 "But when the proper time had fully come, God sent His Son, born of a woman, born subject to [the regulation of] the Law,"

Galatians 4:5 "To purchase the freedom of [to ransom, to redeem, to atone for] those who were subject to the Law, that we might be adopted and have sonship conferred upon us [and be recognized as God's sons]."

Galatians 4:6 "And because you [really] are [His] sons, God has sent the [Holy] Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, Abba (Father)! Father!"

We were purchased, bought back from darkness, brought from darkness, placed into sonship. The Amplified says that we are now recognized as God's sons. Beloved, now we are son's of God, and being son's, we have a responsibility to God.

Galatians 3:26 "For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God through faith."

Galatians 3:27 "For as many [of you] as were baptized into Christ [into a spiritual union and communion with Christ, the Anointed One, the Messiah] have put on (clothed yourselves with) Christ."

Galatians 3:28 "There is [now no distinction] neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is not male and female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus."

Galatians 3:29 "And if you belong to Christ [are in Him Who is Abraham's Seed], then you are Abraham's offspring and [spiritual] heirs according to promise."

Paul declared that it's by faith that we are all sons of God through faith. And by faith we are clothed with Jesus Christ. Regardless of who we are we are clothed with Christ. Christ, meaning the Anointed One and His Anointing. That's what we have been clothed with, His Anointing.

Jesus said in John 1:12 - 13 that...."But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority (power, privilege, right) to become the children of God, That is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, rely on) His name Who owe their birth neither to bloods nor to the will of the flesh [that of physical impulse] nor to the will of man [that of a natural father], but to God. [They are born again!]"

So we see that God has anointed (clothed) us, gave us authority, power and the privilege to become children of God. But why was God wanting to confer upon us anointing, power and the right to be sons? Just so we could go to church and be faithful to the church? No, God wants to go beyond our church. Religion and denomination has kept us behind those doors long enough. There is something more important than our denomination. That is what Jesus said about religion when trying to get them to believe on Him and do the will of the Father.

John 1:10 "He came into the world, and through the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him [did not know Him]."

John 1:11 "He came to that which belonged to Him [to His own, His domain, creation, things, world], and they who were His own did not receive Him and did not welcome Him."

He said they did not recognize Him because their religion declared something else. Even though He came to His domain, creation, and His own, they did not want Him or what He had to say.

Jesus said in Matthew, that because you rejected the Stone which has become the Cornerstone...

Matthew 21:43 "I tell you, for this reason the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce the fruits of it."

He said that the Kingdom of God would be taken away from them and give to a people that would produce the fruits of it. I declare that we are this people and it is our job to produce fruit of the Kingdom.

God has already provided His power and placed it on the inside of every born again believer. It is up to us to release it. Understanding and using our authority is the key to seeing miracles happen.

Look at how Peter and John ministered (released) in Acts 3: 1 - 8

Acts 3:1 "Now Peter and John were going up to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour (three o'clock in the afternoon)."

Acts 3:2 "[When} a certain man crippled from his birth was being carried along, who was laid each day at the gate of the temple [which is] called Beautiful, so that he might beg for charitable gifts from those who entered the temple."

Acts 3:3 "So when he saw Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked them to give him a gift."

Acts 3:4 "And Peter directed his gaze intently at him, and so did John, and said, Look at us!"

Acts 3:5 "And [the man] paid attention to them, expecting that he was going to get something from them."

Acts 3:6 "But Peter said, Silver and gold (money) I do not have; but what I do have, that I give to you: in [the use of] the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk!"

Acts 3:7 "Then he took hold of the man's right hand with a firm grip and raised him up. And at once his feet and ankle bones became strong and steady,"

Acts 3:8 "And leaping forth he stood and began to walk, and he went into the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God."

Notice that Peter didn't pray for this man. He also didn't ask God to heal him. He said, "Such as I have give I thee." This didn't mean that Peter was the source of this healing. Notice what Peter said in Acts 3:12.

"And Peter, seeing it, answered the people, You men of Israel, why are you so surprised and wondering at this? Why do you keep staring at us, as though by our [own individual] power or [active] piety we had made this man [able] to walk?"

It was God's power that healed this man, but that power was under Peter's authority. Peter went on to say in verse 16 that it was faith in the name of Jesus that had wrought this miracle. But Peter didn't ask God to heal this man. He believed the Lord had already done His part and had placed that power within him. Now it was Peter's responsibility to release that power, and that's just what he did.

The Lord never told us to pray for the sick in the sense that we ask Him to heal them. He told us to heal the sick. There is a big difference between the two. It has to do with operating in the authority he has already given us. Look at these commands the Lord gave His disciples.

Luke 9:1 "Then Jesus called together the Twelve [apostles] and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases,"

Luke 9:2 "And He sent them out to announce and preach the kingdom of God and to bring healing."

Matthew 10:1 "And Jesus summoned to Him His twelve disciples and gave them power and authority over unclean spirits, to drive them out, and to cure all kinds of disease and all kinds of weakness and infirmity."

Matthew 10:7 "And as you go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand!"

Matthew 10:8 "Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, drive out demons. Freely (without pay) you have received, freely (without charge) give."

Notice He said that the kingdom of heaven is "at hand". Thayer's Definitions says that....it comes from the word eggizo, meaning to bring near, to join one thing to another.

This is what Jesus meant when He prayed "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." The joining of one place to another. Jesus also said....

Luke 10:9 "But whenever you go into a town and they do not receive and accept and welcome you, go out into its streets and say,"

Luke 10:10 "Even the dust of your town that clings to our feet we are wiping off against you; yet know and understand this; the kingdom of God has come near you."

Notice that the same word eggizo, is used here where it says "has come near you." God is wanting us to bear fruit of the kingdom.

The church is not on their assignment. In other words the church is more worried about getting out of here than having dominion here on earth. Let us look at it this way, God originally created Adam to have dominion on the earth, he lost dominion. Adam changed the garden into a wilderness. John came in the wilderness preaching a new message. The Lord sent John the Baptist declaring...."Repent, (met-an-o-eh-o, think differently, change one's mind for better) for the kingdom of heaven is 'at hand' (has arrived)." He was declaring that we need to see that God's original mandate for man (plural) is being restored and that we should operate in the kingdom that is at hand. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 3:9 "For we are laborers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building." The word husbandry means "garden, farm, or a cultivated field." We have been brought out of the wilderness and need to lose the wilderness mentality. Now we are God's building, His likeness, His nature, His Spirit, and the list goes on. Once again look at what Peter and John did in Acts 3, they were giving and doing the will of God.

Somehow God's people has got the idea that only big name preachers on TV are the only ones that God will use to do exploits. This is entirely wrong. God wants to use His BODY to do exploits. Remember, you were clothed with the anointing (Christ). Your attention is the one God is trying to get. Jesus paid the price that you could work the works of the Father.

How much confidence do you have in Jesus? Are you taking the stand of a someone walking in unbelief and saying, "I'm just holding on until Jesus comes to take me out of this miserable sinful world." Shame on you! If that is what you think. Jesus said we are Sons, Kings, Priests. Jesus is the King of kings. Just how much influence does Jesus have for you to be a king here on earth, now?

I heard a minister say one time that...."A kingdom is the influence of a king over a territory or the will of a people." How much influence does Jesus have on you? Do you trust Him enough to let go of the world? Do you trust Him with your life? Do you really believe that when He said on the cross, "it is finished" that He really did finish what the Father sent Him to do? Do you really believe that you are now citizens of the Kingdom of God? In a Kingdom where God is sovereign? It's not a democracy where you have the say so but it is ruled by a sovereign King whose word is law.

Hebrews 2:10 (KJV) "For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings."

Hebrews 2:11 (KJV) "For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,"

Hebrews 2:12 (KJV) "Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee."

Hebrews 2:13 (KJV) "And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me."

Hebrews 2:14 (KJV) "Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil."

Hebrews 2:15 (KJV) "And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage."
